About Me

  • Post-Graduate Diploma (Counselling Psychotherapy) Brighton University
  • Advanced Certificate in Couple counselling - with Times 2 Relate
  • Registered MBACP counselling / psychotherapist abiding by BACPs’ Ethical framework
  • I have taken numerous courses in therapeutic play therapy.
  • I have liability insurance and I am supervised in line with BACP guide lines.

A background in both counselling and in education means that I adopt an integrative humanistic approach to my work. I am working towards a Masters degree in counselling / psychotherapy, a Diploma in couple counselling, and I regularly attend seminars, conferences and lectures to keep abreast of current research. Apart from my private practice and teaching, I work in a voluntary capacity with clients who are carers. I have past experience of working at a GP surgery, a large teaching hospital, and in hospices.

I endeavour to meet clients with empathy and understanding, in order to help people to clarify and understand the nature of their problems, in the process of which we might arrive at different ways of seeing things and dealing with the concerns.
